Dropped Third Strike — Throw to First
C → 1B, from inside the line
Strike three bounces in the dirt and gets away. With two outs the batter can always run — the catcher finds the ball, steps to the inside of the baseline, and throws to first to end the inning.

Coaching notes
Teach the throwing lane: the runner owns the baseline, so the catcher steps to the fair side and the first baseman sets his target off the runner's shoulder.
Dirt-drop reps: coach drops the ball randomly behind the plate, catcher finds it and throws, batter runs live on every rep.
Catchers throwing from dead behind the runner, over his head — one step inside the line changes everything.
