Pitching Staff Eligibility Board
Tournament weekend, game two, and someone asks "can Marcus pitch?" This board answers instantly: enter your pitchers once, log each outing, and it shows who can pitch today and how many pitches they have under Little League rest rules. Everything saves in your browser.

What the board checks
- Rest days: each outing's pitch count sets required calendar days of rest (Little League tiers — see the pitch count calculator for the full tables). The board shows the exact date each resting pitcher is back.
- Daily maximum: available pitchers show their max for today based on league age.
- Consecutive days: a pitcher who threw yesterday and the day before is flagged — no pitching three days in a row, ever, regardless of counts.
- What it can't know: innings caught today (the 4-inning catcher rule) and your tournament's specific modifications. The board is your pre-game answer, the rulebook is the final word.
Frequently asked questions
Where is this data stored?
In your own browser (localStorage) — nothing is uploaded anywhere. That also means the board lives on the device you enter it on: keep it on the phone or tablet you bring to the field.
Does an out-of-range pitch count break the math?
Counts above the daily max still compute rest from the top tier (66+ for most ages → 4 days) and get flagged. Log what actually happened — the board is only as honest as its inputs.
Can I track two teams or a tournament separately?
The board keeps one list per browser. For a separate tournament context, the practical answer is a different browser or device (or clear and re-enter for the weekend — pitcher names and ages take a minute to add back).
